Philosophy, asana, anatomy, pranayama, meditation, practice teaching, sequencing, therapeutics. Includes 5 texts, teaching notebook, 2 yoga classes per week, mentoring. Investment: $2900​.

Advanced Yoga Trainings

Facilitated by Christine Apter, PhD, RYT 500

Workshops for teachers and advanced students are held once a month during the summer months. Explore techniques and philosophy and deepen your understanding and practice of the vast and treasured teachings of yoga. These workshops are intended to advance yoga teachers and serious practitioners by providing deeper explorations into asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy in a well-planned, experiential atmosphere. They are designed to meet the curricular requirements of Yoga Alliance for continuing education and expansion toward advanced teacher status. Ample materials, notes and resources are provided.

Each workshop applies toward 500 HR Advanced Teacher Training

or Yoga Alliance CEU’s.

Little Things Matter

Saturday, July 15 • 8 am – noon at the Arboretum
and Sunday, July 16 • 8 am – 5 pm at the Yoga Center 
with Christine Apter, PhD, ERYT 

Origins of Hatha Yoga, from Shamanism through Shankara to Tantra including Shamanic postures. Functional anatomy of front and back body, hyoid, little finger, toe, and tailbone create foundations for back bending sequences.

Students will be teaching a Saturday community class in the beautiful setting of Deerfield Beach Arboretum.  12 hours- $225

Yoga at the Time of the Gita

Saturday, July 22 • 1:15 – 5:15 pm
Sunday, July 23 • 8 am – 5 pm 
with  Christine Apter, PhD, ERYT ~ at the Yoga Center 
The lessons of Arjuna and Krishna and the pre-classical period of yoga philosophy are presented. Anatomy of the hands and feet and their integration of support provide the context for safe and accessible hand balancing poses.  12 hours- $225
